Workforce Connections- Your Success Connection

What We Do

Workforce Connections provides employment, training and support services designed to help individuals prepare for and get good jobs. We also help employers find needed workers and skill sets, as well as access useful labor market information. In addition, we provide staff support to the Workforce Development Board that administers federal Workforce Development Funds in Knox County (Local Workforce Development Area 3). For more information on what we do and links to helpful pages visit our publication page.

Adult Services

Workforce Connections provides many services for unemployed and underemployed individuals that are seeking employment and training through the American Job Center located at 2700 Middlebrook Pike, Suite 100. You can find out more by visiting the American Job Center's website here.

Youth Services

Through its Youth Connections Program, Workforce Connections serves low-income youth who are or might become at risk of dropping out of high school. Low-income, out-of-school youth, including those who have dropped out of high school and those that have graduated but need additional assistance may benefit from American Job Center services for youth or community programs funded through the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act. Through the American Job Center, Workforce Connections provides career assistance for job seekers with disabilities. Support services such as assistance in completing a job application or building a resume are provided. Other services such as training referrals, career counseling, and job listings are offered in order to help the job seeker obtain, regain, or maintain gainful employment within the community.
